VFW GOLF COURSE: Some on-line references still show that a VFW 9 hole course is located at 1001 S State Hwy 16, Fredericksburg, TX 78624. Map. While VFW Post 7105 does exist there, they no longer have a golf course located there or anywhere else. However, years ago there was a course there. The "golf course" name is likely an outdated reference that persists in some online directories and historical records. The confusion likely stems from the fact that the VFW Post's address is still associated with the former golf course in some online data.

USGA Course Rating is the evaluation of the playing difficulty of a course for scratch golfers under normal course and weather conditions. It is expressed as strokes, and is based on yardage and other obstacles to the extent that they affect the scoring ability of a scratch golfer.

Slope Rating evaluates the relative playing difficulty of a course for players who are not scratch golfers. The lowest Slope Rating is 55 and the highest is 155. A golf course of standard playing difficulty has a Slope Rating of 113.

Yardage is as reported from the longest tee.
